STANDARD E5: THE EARTH IN SPACE AND TIME
Students explain theories about how the Earth and universe formed and evolved over a long period of time. Students predict
how human activities may influence the climate of the future.

E5.1 The Earth in Space

E5.2 The Sun Astronomy - Students will demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts relating to variable star astronomy.
E5.3 Earth History and Geologic Time

Remote Sensing - Participants will use satellite imagery of Mars and other resources to identify and interpret geologic features, answer questions, or solve problems.

Rocks and Minerals - Teams will demonstrate their knowledge of rocks and minerals.

E5.4 Climate Change

Ecology - Students will answer questions involving content knowledge and process skills in the area of ecology and adaptations in featured biomes.
